Book Sweepstakes — “The Survivors Club”

February 25th, 2009 · 2 Comments

I wrote earlier this month about a terrific new book, The Survivors Club: The Secrets & Science That Could Save Your Life. The book examines the questions of human survival in crises — Who survives and who doesn’t? Who bounces back and who collapses? Who keeps fighting and who surrenders? Through well-reported true stories, first-hand experiences, and interviews with experts, The Survivors Club explores what it takes to overcome life’s unavoidable challenges. I think the book will be of interest to a lot of people who read this blog.

I contacted the author, Ben Sherwood, and the publisher, Grand Central Publishing, who have agreed to send a free copy of the book to five blog readers. So, we will be holding another book contest. Here are the rules:

Send in your brief story or tip on how you ’survived’ or coped with an emergency or other serious situation that you think might helpful to others (to me at jsolomon@incaseofemergencyblog.com). I’ll print them on the blog, and then I will randomly draw five winners who will receive a copy of the book from Grand Central Publishing. The entry deadline is March 7th. Only residents of the United States & Canada are eligible.

Hopefully, we’ll share some helpful information for the blog and distribute a helpful book to five lucky readers.
