Jerry Hauer has decades of experience in emergency management, public health and homeland security at the top levels of local, state, and federal government. Â He was New York City’s first director of the Office of Emergency Management, head of Indiana’s Emergency Management Agency, and Acting Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Health and Human Services for the Office of Public Health Emergency Preparedness. He now runs an Arlington, Virginia-based consultancy, The Hauer Group.
