I recently had the great pleasure to meet a lovely Australian man named Ben Borgia. Ben’s mother and his 13-year-old sister — in Bali together on a mother/daughter vacation — were killed in the 2002 terrorist bombing of a restaurant/club. He is in the U.S. to speak at a United Nations forum on terrorist victims.
I met Ben on September 10th at the Voices of September 11th’s Day of Remembrance held at a hotel adjacent to Ground Zero. He was there hoping to learn more about creating a group of surviving family and friends of those who died in Bali attack. I will be following his effort to do so on this blog. In this segment of “What Should We Tell The Public?”, Ben makes a plea that we all of us reconnect with each other whether it be across the globe or across the street.
