September 1st, 2008 · 1 Comment

If you are interested in supporting the Red Cross’ relief efforts for Gustav (and, possibly in the next few days, Hurricane Hanna and Tropical Storm Ike), you can donate directly at http://american.redcross.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ntld_main&s_subsrc=RCO_LatestNews&s_src=DRF

Thanks.

Just wondering every site has places to donate money but what about services, my company has deployed an emergency communications system for use in the disaster how ever there are no staging points nor anyone who knows or is coordinating anything. So we have spent days in the New Orleans area and only used our system once. I hear more on the news then from any other source. Just imagine how much help disaster areas could receive if when the help arrived there was actually a place to meet or a number to call or even a website that would contain information about where their services would be useful..
