A Citizen’s Eye View of Public Preparedness

Joseph Bruno (Commissioner, New York City Office Of Emergency Management) — “What Should We Tell The Public?”

July 8th, 2009 · 3 Comments

This edition of the “What Should We Tell The Public?” video series features Joseph Bruno, the Commissioner of New York City’s Office of Emergency Management. He is someone I have spoken with on a number of occasions as part of my research into public preparedness, and I have learned a lot from him. (He also presented me with my CERT graduation diploma.)

In the video, which was shot last week on the steps of New York’s City Hall, Bruno explains what citizens should do to be prepared for disaster.
