August 7th, 2008 · 3 Comments

The entry deadline for the first “In Case Of Emergency, Read Blog” Contest is Friday, August 8th.

I am happy to report that the good folks at Crown Publishing have just given me three copies of Michael Sheehan’s interesting new book, Crush The Cell: How To Defeat Terrorism Without Terrorizing Ourselves, to add to the prize chest. So, the first five entries randomly chosen will receive an audio book of Amanda Ripley’s The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes And Why and the next three will receive Crush The Cell. Thank you Amanda and Mike.

So if you have a citizen preparedness tip you want to share and possibly win a book, please send it to jsolomon@incaseofemergencyblog.com by August 8th. The submission should be something you think is important that other citizens should know and do in order to increase their own, their community’s and their nation’s readiness. After l pick the eight winners, I will post their tips.
