A Citizen’s Eye View of Public Preparedness

“What Should We Tell The Public?” — John Walsh

July 26th, 2008 · No Comments

When it comes to engaging and activating their fellow citizens to assist the efforts of local and national law enforcement, few people have had the impact of John Walsh. Walsh is the creator and host of “America’s Most Wanted” which appears Saturday nights on Fox. Now in its 20th year, the show has helped in the capture of 1000 fugitives.

After the abduction and murder of his 6-year-old son, Adam, Walsh became a citizen activist and has brilliantly employed media to tap the huge law enforcement asset that is the American public. In this segment, Walsh says that citizens can also be very helpful to the authorities when it comes to terrorism. He urges people to be vigilant and to not be afraid to say something if they think they see something.
