A Citizen’s Eye View of Public Preparedness

Adding “Homeland Security Watch” To The ICE,RB Blog Roll

April 25th, 2008 · No Comments

As I continue to build this site, I will be adding to my blog roll some blogs which I read regularly and believe other citizens interested in public preparedness will find helpful. Today, I am linking to Homeland Security Watch which is a blog I have visited pretty much every day for the past couple years. It is a ’must link’ for anyone interested in homeland security policy. Homeland Security Watch describes itself as:

…a blog that features breaking news, rigorous analysis, and informed commentary on the critical issues in homeland security today. It takes a cross-disciplinary approach to the subject of homeland security, spanning issues such as transportation security, preparedness and response, infrastructure protection, and border security. Its content is intended both for an expert-level policy audience as well as the broader general audience of people interested in homeland security.

I think Homeland Security Watch really succeeds in the difficult task of serving both the layperson and the expert in large part because it is so well written and presented. I learn something practically every time I’m on the site. It helps me keep apprised of Washington news and events on homeland security as well as providing consistently thoughtful non-partisan analysis.

Started by Christian Beckner, the blog is now overseen by Jonah Czerwinski, managing consultant for Global Business Services at IBM and a senior adviser on Homeland Security Projects at the Center for the Study of the Presidency.
