@GOHSEP's approach to Twitter demonstates a keen understand of the "social" nature of social networks. Too often, governmental and institutional social media accounts seem to think that they are exempt from the basic rules of social media. As a result, many miss the opportunity to be a more meaningful emergency preparedness resource.

Proactively working to connect with those an agency is charged with protecting and informing, by the simple process of following and following back, as well as sharing content in two directions, is a model for others in the emergency management field to follow.

Congrats to @GOHSEP!
