It also seems to me that there is a conflict of interest here... 

on the part of camp operators... if they dont offer the tamiflu blanket the parents will cancel the camp for this year.  

The tamiflu blanket is about commerce and not the best interests of the children.

Why is it ok to dose 1,000s of healthy kids with a strong anti-viral that DOES have important side-effects (including mental health ones) so that camps do not experience financial difficulties?

Sounds like a very simple decision to me.  Tamiflu blankets used on healthy kids so camps can stay open is not ethically correct.</description>
